Not to be sexist and ageist, but she is in her mid-30s (34).

College Gameday replaced her with a 26-year-old (whom, it was revealed this week, is dating Minnesota Vikings QB Christian Ponder).

That 26 year old, Samantha Steele, also replaced Jenn Brown as sideline reporter of Thursday Night Football. Jenn Brown is 31.

Petros was in Cal football training camp his freshman year, then fled before the season started.

He ended up playing for USC.

I think at the NFL level, it's not all about looks for female sideline reporters.

It's more about experience.

NBC Sunday Night Football has had Andrea Kremer and Michelle Tafoya.

And Monday Night Football has had Kolber, Tayoya and

I'm not saying they're ugly, but they're not youngsters.

Salters, Tafoya and Kolber are all pushing 50.

Kremer is in her early 50s.
