Got beat all day, and that's why we didn't do anything on offense. Sorry players that read this board but it's true. Watch the tape.

Someone needs to tell Maynard... you don't get 4 to 5 seconds to throw the ball.

90% of the sacks are on Maynard.

They also need to tell Maynard our wr's aren't 20 feet tall.

Cal is the ONLY College football team in the country Maynard would start at.

That should tell you something about Tedford as a coach.

I really don't know what it is. Bad recruiting? Not enough practice and conditioning? Our O-line was getting jerked around at ease by Furds. It was almost like a community college football team playing against a Div I program...

As bad as Maynard really is despite his small fan base here, I'd say more like 50% or so...our OL is that bad.

I'd say 80/20 on the line. Our run blocking was so anemic that Stanford was using a 3 man rush often by the end. Hard to get guys open quick in that scenario, and yet there would be instant pressure even from a 5 on 3 advanatge for the OL

As I mentioned in another thread, I think the O-line would play really well under a leader, a QB they feared and respected.

Fear, respect and leadership can go a long way.

Michalczik is like Tedford? Over the hill?

Offensive offensive line with Coach M....

Time to clean the house....

totally agree...I've been saying ZM is NOT a leader of men for 2 years but always get shut down...people don't know what to look for or what things he doesn't do. A leader out there would help a hell of a lot....

We were still allowing penetrations even when Furd was rushing 3. It's not a pretty sight when you see three Cal linemen running 3-4 ft. behind Furd linemen toward ZM while remaining Cal linemen are still just standing at the line of scrimmage on their own.

He, too, must have become complacent like JT. Time to bring new "management" into the house.

From far away, everything about him is demoralizing -- his demeanor, his reaction, his throwing motion, his pocket presence, the stupid warpaint.

It must be far worse up close.

Look at Peyton Manning -- yes a stretch, I know. He's gotten all those no-name receivers, who are already pretty good, to commit themselves to him. To doing their best. Same for Eli. And Rodgers, etc.

Easily the most stupid thing I'll read in a while. The oline will suddenly play better because the respect switch will turn on and voila! Instant oline? To quote the now buff marshall, they are what they are. They got beat. Furd d line is huge. They got fucking bitch slapped. Spin it and make excuses all day, won't change ****.

Go Bears!

Maynard missed some open receivers today. So what else is new? That's a footnote and deserves nothing more than a passing mention.

The sacks, OTOH, are on the offensive line. Period. It is shocking how much better the Furd lines are than ours.

Watched this on tv and I can tell you as I posted earlier. Maynard nit the reason we lost this game. We got or a-- handedto is on both sides of the line. O-line was atrocious. Maynard didn't have time to crap in his pants most of the time. Not to mention that no running game doesn't help either.

Yeah the OL was BAAAAAD...but Furd's front 7 rank in the top 10. Of course we got punched out.

Maybe it's because their position coach has to also be the offensive coordinator. #coachfail

Prediction: Tedford fires coach
M this week in order to save his own job.

Sophomore Longshore wouldn't get sacked as much. He was able to lead receivers to open spots and go through progressions. Maynard waits...and waits...and waits for Keenan to get open, and by the time his weak arm throws arrive, the D has closed on it.

Then why are they not blocking on running plays either?

Blaming the bad offensive line on Maynard is piling on.
