Did Maynard EVER complete a pass for 20+ yards?

I am not talking about a short pass to Allen which he ran for 70 yards.
Has Maynard ever complete a long pass that he THREW to a receiver who was 20+ out? I can't think of any. I sure do remember him overthrowing a wide open target by 20 yards. He's done that about a hundred times.

Is he really the best QB Tedford can put out there? Really?

He hit Chris Harper today on a long pass, but I get your point.

Pretty sure he did to Harper. Maynard isn't the biggest problem. Coaching is atrocious.

My favorite stat of the day was that on designed run plays (not including Maynard's scramble) Cal's longest gain was 4 yards. 4.

I'm continually amazed at how you will contort yourself to make it look like Maynard is good

I am not contorting myself to do anything, I am putting up the stats. Both QBs were equally bad except for a long play by each.

Our running backs ALL had the worst day of their careers. We averaged 1 yard per carry. Mostly due to 5 yards on third and long draw plays. We were completely stuffed on first and second down and on short yardage.

Their running back had the best day of his career without really breaking any long runs. Every run he was into our secondary.

That is not to say we shouldn't have played the back-up QB at some point, not because Maynard was losing it for us per se, but you could tell he wasn't going to win it for us. He was having one of his "bad" games, so give someone else a shot. I am not sure that necessarily should be Bridgford though--I'd sure like to see Hinder and of course Kline, though I think the fanbase would be upset if we burned his redshirt now behind this line.

The first TD to Treggs against Nevada.

Exactly. As bad as Maynard was, our running game fail was epic, it was one for the ages.

That was probably the worst I have ever seen a Cal offensive line play in run (and pass blocking) combined with horrible play calling that just exacerbated it.

All three of our RBs had their worst games ever.

Their RB had his best game ever.

On a Tedford coached team, and yes, especially with Maynard (or any other QB we have had since Rodgers) at QB, that will lead to a loss 10 times out of 10.

At this point, anytime Maynard completes a deep pass, it is just a fluke because he throws high on almost all of them.

Heck, even his short/mid throws are consistently high.

Maynard = JC-level QB.

Well put. My point exactly.

OP must not watch many of our games. I want change too, but won't throw out info that it's obviously not true.
