I know that things are down here and they are at utefans.net. I completely cringed when ESPN set us as the #2 team in the south. We're both underperforming and I certainly don't look at you guys as a W. But if you're here stop by and wander around the Guardsman tailgate lot of for that matter any of the lots.
If you want to stop by our tailgate we'll be doing our traditional blackout game tomato-basil soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Come by, have one, we'll have our "trailer cash" piggy bank out and we'll take 100% of the donations in exchange for food and donate it to The Road Home which is a homeless shelter that emphasizes job placement and education.
We're in the NW corner of the Guardsman lot so please stop by. The pirate ship is next to us - it's a story in and of itself and no, pirates have nothing to do with Utah. Other great tailgates are Porky the short bus right across from us, Bob & Randy's Tavern another vintage trailer, Big John's Truck being John Madsen, Sr. his son John Madsen played TE for the Raiders for several years. TUT Club (the Traveling Utah Tavern) always has beer pong going and the HFPPS, the Historic Firehouse Preservation Society that tailgates with a 1936 (?) fire engine and the ambUlance who has won tailgating awards many times.
I hope as many of you as possible stop by Guardsman as possible. I hope we show you that tailgating at Utah isn't what most people think it will be. I can guarantee that the octobeerbong at Mike & Diane's right by us will be ready and willing.
You guys totally worked us. I hope it's a competitive game. We're not a good team this year.
