Seems pretty clear now that if JT is allowed to finish the season it will be harmful to the program. It will harm recruiting, it will destroy whatever's left of morale on the team, will result in continued plummeting of attendance and ESP sales, and prevent the backup QBs from getting ready for next season. This is a losing season and JT is apparently going to continue his obstinate ways to the very end, taking Cal's football program with it.

Cal simply CANNOT afford to let Tedford even finish out the season.

Tedford has driven the bus off the cliff with the Cal football team on it. Should have fired him earlier.

Hate to say it, but any parent who allows their kid to play for Tedford is clearly throwing their kids future away.

Slim chance he will graduate
Slim chance he will see the field regardless of ability

At least the kids wont get heat stroke, freeze or get pruned hands in the bay area... that is a plus.

Tedford's Program, across the board, on field and in the classroom has become a disaster.

she should but she won't, this is a total mess, I don't know how you can save this mess.

Tedford has already done as much harm to the program as Holmoe did. It will take a few years for a new coach to clean up this mess.

Couldn't the AD demote Tedford for performance? Possibly move him into another position with University. If he doesn't like it than perhaps an agreement can be made for a buyout?

I would argue that he might be doing more harm, at least Holmoe didn't crap all over a $300 million dollar stadium. He got it built, which is great. We put our money up, Tedford is failing to hold up his end.

I'd disagree, whom ever is the next coach should have no problems getting at least to .500. There is a load of talent and it's clearly being under utilized via poor coaching. What we don't know is how much internal decay exists.

not so easy, yes we do have talent, but a ton? No I don't think so, on the O line the cupboard is bare and I think in our anxiety to be good we have overrated to a degree our recruiting classes. We have little depth and the handling of Bigelow should give pause to any great HS running back to steer clear of us. Also we spend to much time boasting about the academics and then graduate less then any other P12 school.

OL disaster says it all.
Setting records for sacks and tackles for losses.
3 and out are frequent and increase the pressure on a thin defense, exhausting them.
Without an OL, trips to the red zone are infrequent and result in FG attempts, which are not always made.

Weaknesses abound and increase due to injuries.
Toss in the penalties on top of it all.

To be an apologist, have we ever seen so many injuries happen in a season? Can someone list them, it seems like pretty amazingly bad karma)

(That being said, I wish I saw more fire out there; maybe it is just projection but to me it looks like our team dreads 3rd down as much as I do. I think the really good teams like that challenge and like demoralizing the other teams defense with clutch 3rd (& 4th) down play... our team looks lame on 3rd down; and on the opposite side of the ball: it can be 3rd and 30 and you know the other team will turn it into a first down.)
