It's not like he gets 57-yd touchdowns every time he gets a carry. Plus, only Isi's blocking can make Maynard play like Joe Montana. Clearly, Gould was right for giving the lion's share of reps to Isi since spring camp. Sure, Bigelow would have been much better at blocking, more familiar with the offense, and less turnover prone had he gotten more than less than 1/3 of the reps during all those practices, but Isi IS A SENIOR and a rather swell guy. Winning football games is overrated.

.......PLUS...................when you have so much talent, you don't need to play your best guys.....................AND..................you can just concentrate on practicing really really really hard.

and the average is deceiving. Take away all those 50+ runs for TD, and he's rather pedestrian.
