How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have sort of been going back and forth about JT and whether he should step aside/be asked to step aside ..

I was using this season to make my final determination and after the last two weeks, it is a no brainer.

I thought maybe after all the distractions of getting the facility up to par JT might be able to prove that he is the coach we wanted.

He has not .. tough for the person that has to do this, but anyone who has been a manager has been there .. the best thing for a failed employee is a change .. my experience (from both sides, I was fired once) is that it is not only best for the organization, but also for the employee ..

there is a person on the East Coast by way of IL that also needs to be fired, but that is a really contentious issue :rant

I'm guessing the difference between the current situation and yours is that you were an at-will employee meaning you could be let go at any time. Or were you under contract?

Big difference.

A firing often is traumatic if not devastating to the employee and his family, but I suspect at an annual salary of $2.3 million, Tedford has some savings. Plus, I hope the parties negotiate a settlement that allows for a mutually amicable parting.

and after telling my boss "that is the stupidest idea I have ever heard" I was not surprised that they got rid of me, but getting fired is always a blow to the ego .. but my experience is that most who get fired usually find they are happier in a few months..

this does not necessarily apply to someone that is fired with no good reason, like a RIF?
