There might be only 20 or 30 posters that want coach Tedford gone, most fans see the amount injuries this year, and a big time QB waiting in the wings as signs for a big year next season, if Mike Riley can do it so can coach Tedford . All 30 of you who want coach fired can go pick a new team to root for. We choose to be BEAR FANS who support our players and our coaches! Stop with the overpaid garbage. Hardly anything comes from the Universities coffers
Most fans want Tedford back?
I want whatever drug you are taking, it's definitely a great way to have a wild trip.
I've followed Cal football since I was a child. My father was an alum and took me to games back before I understood just how passionate people get about games. He still goes to every home game. (I now live too far away to attend home games regularly.)
Now my father and I talk after just about every game. I've been negative about Tedford for years, but my father was always taking the stance that we had to give Tedford another year.
This year my father has finally agreed with me that Tedford needs to go. He also tells me that the people who he sits near during games are all ready to see Tedford leave the program.
Bearblast, the signs that Tedford has almost no remainig support from the allumni and donors are legion. The fans want to see a new coach.
And should your insanity somehow take hold of the administration and they keep Tedford for another season, not only will they see attendance drop and ESP sales go down, but they are unlikely to see the team manage better than 6-6. Sure Cal returns many good players, but.
1) they will have a new starting QB, with the exception of USC and UW the Pac-12 teams Cal will face will have returning QBs, returning your QB is usually good for several wins, and a first year QB tends to generate 1-2 losses that should have been wins
2) The playcalling is unlikely to improve, which means that coaches like Kiffin and Sark who have Tedford's number will once again be able to shut down the Cal offense despite all the returning "stars".
3) Cal will not have a good recruiting year. Tedford being on the hot seat is not exactly a great secret at this point. High school seniors looking for a team tend to avoid serious talks with a coach who is unlikely to be there in a year. They don't want to sign up and then find that its a whole new coach and system. You can already see this effect in the quality of the current verbals. They are a huge step down from the players we all talked about during 2011.
Why don't you give up trying to defend Tedford and do something productive?
