Do you wear your Cal caps/t-shirts as much or less in recent years that in the early JT years? I confess that I probably wear them much less especially when going down to LA, up to Seattle and through Oregon. The taunts are harder to take when our FB team is getting whupped regularly. JT has to go cuz he is affecting my wardrobe choices.

Every damn moment, especially when traveling overseas. In fact, its casual Friday at work and I have my Cal hoodie on.

Just tell 'em you know nothing about football and you wear it because your work there made you a finalist for a Nobel prize. Always works for me.

Here's better advice: don't be so thin-skinned about things and don't be ashamed to rep your school as a whole and take the good with the bad.

Multiple times per week. AND I have a CMS pin on the bag I take to work, everyday. I'm a Cal fanboy.

After school for about ten years, I rarely wore Cal gear. I've always had Cal baseball caps and would wear them often though. I lived in San Francisco then and probably because of how close it was to Berkeley and trying to be grown up, just didn't wear the gear too often. If I did, it was mostly while working out.

I've found that the longer it's been since school and the farther away I get from Berkeley, the more I wear my Cal stuff. Cal not only represents my school, but a region and place that I'm very proud of. Home.

I've a friend here in NYC who says that all he ever sees me wear is either a suit or Cal gear. LOL

Every Saturday & Sunday.. Last Christmas I sent some family members in Spain and Chile a lot of Cal gear.. They're requesting more this year. Funny, they wear the gear not because of sports, but because of the academic reputation Cal has. I didn't go to Cal, I'm just a huge fan, for life.

When our sports teams are great, I wear "Cal" gear to emphasize the athletics. When they are not, I wear "Berkeley" gear to emphasize the academics.

I switched my car license plate frame from a "Cal! Go Bears" plate to a "Alumni UC Berkeley" plate last week.

The Cal brand in Asia is absolutely staggering. The people I meet and conversations I have in Asia because of Cal gear always amaze me.

I retired the TedHead tie-dyes, but everything else is good to go (especially the Cal Crew shirts). My loyalty is to the University, not to any one coach.

Wore my Cal hat to NASA/Ames today, chaperoning a 5th-grade field trip. One of my son's classmates informed me firmly that Tedford needed to go. I agreed.

Very, very often. I have been wearing it for years; even when Holmoe was coach. My old worn out Cal hats are badges of honor; like old Boston Red Sox hats (before they finally won). If anyone taunts me about the lack of success of the football team (as indeed they did in the Holmoe years) I say that I wear it not for the football team but to represent the greatest university in the world. If you took the football team out of the equation, where would Oregon, USC, Notre Dame, etc. be in the discussions of the worlds great universities?

I wear a Cal tie on the Friday before every home football game, and on days of home basketball games. I wear Cal gear to all the games, and often when I'm out and about on weekends, and I regularly wear Cal golf shirts when I play. In fact, my basic rule is to wear no red clothing on the golf course between the first football game and when we are knocked out of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. I also wore a Cal cap numerous times in London during the Olympic games, and left it as a souvenir in the hotel room when I left.

Every weekend. And actually a little more in a season like this - kind of an "F You" thing I guess, it's easy to wear the gear (e.g., Oregon the last few years) when the team is doing great but it lets people know I'm a proud alum and fan either way.

I do wear it more after a Big Game win, though.

I wear Cal gear before every game, and then to the gym pretty much every day. I am proud to be a Bear no matter what the record of the team.

Almost every day. Plus I carry a Cal briefcase (purchased from Bancroft Clothing). It's fun to do among all the Trojans & Bruins here in the Southland, though a bit more difficult lately.

I walk three or four miles a day with my dog and my Cal baseball cap. I get a "go Bears" from time to time. I know from alumni publications that a large number of Cal alums live in central and southern Marin. I see a lot of Cal alumni license plate frames, sweatshirts, tee shirts, caps. My neighbors are very friendly UCLA grads. We share our doubts about USC.

When I am away from work, probably 4-5 times a week. Some of my long time friends swear they only see me in Cal gear - and I have YET to own a single piece of red clothing.

Have had people try to give me red - and just can't put it on.

The more we lose the more I wear it. My friends say I thrive on confrontation (at least in the real world - avoid it like the plague on the interwebz for some reason).

We live deep in Stanford territory and my 12 year old wears something Cal branded to school almost every day. He definitely takes after his old man. The funny thing is that in years gone by when he'd get razzed by his classmates, he'd always retort with "Well at least we have the Axe." This would almost always get met with the response "What's the Axe"? Which tells you everything you need to know about Stanford's "fans" (even the junior variety).
