You dont really deserve a response, but I will anyway...

1. A player tweeted that right when he was fired. Not many people who knew Tedford would say that at that time unless the issues were more serious than something every player feels about every coach...

2. You blind mice acting as though Tedford was fired for a single season can give it a rest at this point. Everyone but you is up to speed, and if you want to maintain any credibility, you better catch up most rickytick.

Tedford was fired for an 8 year trend than was on field and off field. He was allowed 3 of those years because of what he did in the first 3. He was given the last two because of what he did to get the stadium built. NO ONE ignored his success, and in fact because of his success he was given a HUGE amount of rope and still managed to hang himself. NO ONE suddenly turned on him this year, it was a build up

At what point to you drop a guy who has a losing record over three years and the worst (WORST!) grad rate and APR in the conference, and towards the very bottom of ALL teams? We are talking sanctions bad. We are talking about looking WAY up to ARIZONA STATE! Two years running, 3 out of 4. These seasons and semesters are not aberrations or outliers. They are part of an extreme trend that has been in place 8 years, and finally reached a point where his past success was no longer enough to justify retention.

I find it amazing that you potato heads cant understand that, even now.

But I can't now. You are an a__.

No Tweets from Desean, Marshawn, and Rodgers, the three more prominent Bears in the NFL. Lemme guess, Desean is a scumbag, and everyone else who didn't Tweet gets a pass.

On his show. It is on YouTube.

Far classier than many who post in this forum. Much different perspective than many here who think they know everything about the man they like to denigrate as an uncaring coach who was just going through the motions to collect a paycheck while throwing the team under the bus.

Amen. They'll try to justify their spouting off as necessary for progress, but they're just uptight people, for the most part.

Anyway, I also thank the OP for this idea.

Todd Barr @itssimplytb

Coah Tedford is one of the best to ever do it. I don't care what nobody says.

I love, and I am not being sarcastic, how Desmond quipped that he hopes JT stays in the PAC. You gotta know what he means by that. We shall see, we shall see.

If the players agree with every decision a coach makes, then there is a serious problem. Players understandably view team issues from their own individual perspectives.
Yes but you don't bring this up when memorializing someone unless those disagreements were pretty serious.

Calbear94;842015380 said:

Of course they did. The paint was barely dry on the new stadium. Tedford had rebounded every-time after a sub-par season due in large part due to issues with the starting QB. His track record at Cal deserved at least a second year in the new stadium.
Right, because this team was just a couple of XBox-in-the-locker-room-or-I'm-going-elsewhere recruits from challenging for a BCS berth..

:bravo :bravo :bravo
It was his off-field inattention that really did it.
Guess how the admin viewed Barbour because of the grad rate and APR and the real possibility of being ruled bowl ineligible by the NCAA.
Barbour had no choice, or she would have been fired also.
Cal - last place in academics ... disgusting and amazing.

It has been 6 years of bad football coaching.

Even in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, there were recurring coaching issues that kept us from being as good as we might have been, kept us from achieving our ultimate goals.

To be fair, the first half of 2007 was excellent, maybe the high point as we ascended to breathing distance of a #1 national ranking before the fateful fall against OSU.

So . . . five and one-half years of poor coaching and declining performance.

Wow. Now you are criticizing results in 2004? No coach will ever satisfy you.

Mr. Tedford was a good guy, but not a good game day coach. Ever. But he is a multi millionaire, a long way from the garage. Not bad.
