I used to live next to El Cerrito Plaza, and I would jog through Kensington. Very nice area, but it was jarring to see dear in the city.

funny, me too; I liked being able to walk to bart, that was convenient. lots of good food on solano too. now I live in oakland hills and see deer all the time which is cool too.

If Sandy were smart, she would buy the house for cash, and rent it to Sonny for $1 per month. The she would have a coach and an appreciating asset.

You'd do that for position coaches, not head coaches who could buy their house with just a year's worth of salary. Even then, the AD would have to manage things like house maintenance, hardly ideal.

Also, a HC who is renting has a bit less stake in staying in the area.

good eyes.. yeah it had a wound, probably why it hung around for a day.

The AD already manages a lot of real estate, CMS being the biggest holding.
A good house in the Berk. Hills can always be re-sold, so I don't think that's much of a lock on the coach staying. However, virtually rent-free housing in a choice location would be pretty hard to beat.
