The first state championship game today is Central Catholic vs. Santa Fe Christian at 4:00 on CSN California (for Nor Cal, not sure where it is elsewhere). Cal has supposedly been looking at Central Catholic running back Ray Vega, but I don't know if that was the previous regime or this one. Anyway, check him out today. Also, the Central Catholic kicker is only a junior but has a really strong leg and could be someone to keep an eye on. He might not have an opportunity for a field goal today as CC likes to go for it, but he had a string of 80 straight conversions until this year when it was snapped by a block. Cal has had success with Central Catholic players in the past and hopefully the pipeline will continue.

Might as well sign up the entire offensive line. Wow...domination. Both backs look good too. Hard to analyze anyone as a prospect in this one - Central Catholic is far too dominant.

I saw them last week vs McClymonds ( my nephew plays for Mack) and was very impressed with the Raiders

Random recollection...

I was on a HS team that played CC the year Pat Dignan? was paralyzed. They held a ceremony at half time when we played them. Instead of game panning (which was pointless against them) our coaches had us take a knee and watch. Seriously sad stuff. This was probably 15 yrs ago. They were the best of the best, and always destroyed us. This brings back memories. I'm sorry, just a little emotional today...

CC is in Modesto

One of my clients is has kids (50 isn) who went there... Interestingly enough, there are a lot of friends of CC on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in LA...So if we could connect the dots with PV Parents (PV High has a great year this yeaas well ) and CC parents - Cal could be on to something...
