My son who went to Brown reported that the Rhode Island School of Design ("Risdee") named their D-III club (can you get any lower?) hockey team the "Nads" solely so they could chant, "Go Nads! Go Nads!"

South Carolina Gamecocks "go cocks!"

I sense a trend... Risdee vs USC "Go nads!" "Go cocks!" You'd be able to figure out which girl you wanted to date quickly at this game though...

My son's intramural team at DLS was named Offinureye. Another team was called Mr. Alliotti. When the two teams met and Mr. Alliotti won there was an announcement made over the school intercom system: And in intramurals, Mr. Alliotti beat Offinureye, to which there was thunderous laughter throughout the school. The boys had beaten the school censors...or maybe they just let them think that. Such was the education my son received at DLS.

Sort of a good news/bad news, as the chant actually is, "Nobody licks our Cocks" Seems like more of a lament to me.

The "Nads" were used on an intramural team at my undergrad school in the '80's.

There was also the "Master Batters" for one of the softball teams.

While perusing Front Row Sports last night to see if Cal basketball was being streamed, I saw a listing for a Korean League game. One of the teams was the Busan SonicBoom.

Pittsburg (KS) State Gorillas, Richmond Spiders, Delaware Blue Hens, the Washburn Ichabods, and my favorite, Montana State University - Northern, of Butte Montana, whose teams are referred to as "The Lights" as in Northern Lights.
