I wish the kid luck. He was impressive as a HS QB. Hoping the Bay Area native has success.

A bit surprised Nottingham is behind Nunes on the depth chart. A lot of folks on this board were wondering why we didn't offer Nottingham that year.

If he couldn't beat out Nunes, find another passion. A Stanford degree has "some" value.

So much for that Stanford education.

Hope it messes up their APR. ::evil laugh::

It's not just Nunes, he was behind Hogan as well. Sounds like Shaw saw him as a bust.

That's a little hit to their football team graduation rate.

Wouldn't want schools like the furd to get away with these sorts of shenanigans.

Stanfurd will next claim he graduated already. No hit to their APR

Does it effect grad rates? If he is in good standing it won't damage APR and if he moves on and graduates from another school will that still mess with stanford's rates?

He should just follow Joe Montana's kids around and go to the colleges de jour they go to in pursuit of their science fiction fantasy (and that of their father) that they will some day be QB's in the NFL. The only difference being Nick Montana has more game than Nottingham.

Nottingham was committed to Ucla until signing day. Really messed up the weasels qb rotation. I'll always thank him for that.

^^ Raider fans taking cheap shots at the 9'ers and vice versa is a highly amusing sideshow on this board.

I don't think missing out on a Stanford degree will be an issue because he will end up at an IVY league school so that he can play next year. Because of his redshirt year, he would only have his senior season to play, having to sit out next year, if he transferred to another FBS school.

He could play @ UC Davis in September. Aggies starting QB Randy Wright is average at best- many want him gone.

Don't be surprised if his name comes up as Gould's first move. Many FBS backups transfer to FCS schools (don't have to sit out a year).

ok......i just totally started that rumor based on nothing, but here's to hoping!

interesting thing is that i'm sure even if he went to UCLA...he would've still been passed up by Hundley sooner or later. Hundley is their chosen one

Not a problem -- that fits the M.O. of the forum perfectly.

OR -- they will claim that he was never a student since he failed to graduate.
(That is something like dropping a class the day of the test.)
