Jeff Tedford showed up as Mike Riley.

Wood's not running the ball in the second half was the difference. Texas run defense stinks and OSU exploited that in the first half. Also, Vaz stunk

No kidding....he handed Texas this game. Usually I don't listen all the much to the talking ESPN heads but they are 100% right. OSU's right tackle couldn't handle Okafor and Riley still left his out on an island....and damn, they should have yanked Spaz after his 3rd turnover. I know he was hurried a lot but he looked confused in the 2nd half and had NO mobility whatsoever. Riley, you got outcoached BIG TIME !!!!!

I was engaged in my boycott but the wife turned on the game so I was forced to watch it. What happened is Alex Okafor. I mentioned on another thread, that I believe the single most important position to recruit aftter QB is DE. A first tier DE can completely disrupt a defense. Cal needs a serious upgrade in this department.

I do disagree with some of the criticism of Riley. After the second sack, they did add a back and try to double Okafor with a chipping back some after his second sack. Texas responded wisely by gapping the DT, forcing the Center to help there and then blitzing LB up middle and no back is there to pick him up- that move resulted in a couple of sacks. But once again, Okafor was indirectly responsible for those sacks by forcing the double team.
