I signed up for the tickets, but for everyone who did the same, there was no confirmation email... Just emailed Gold Standard this morning and was told they did not have me registered for the free tix...

Did this happen to anyone else...

At least you got an e-mail. No response here.

Somewhat similar experience. I got short, graphical e-mail with a bunch of links. I ignored it on the cell phone but when I logged in today I noticed that there was some link that I clicked that had you register for the tix and select which event you wanted. Unfortunately it was due yesterday so I didn't make the deadline.

And don't get me started on the Seat Selection Event. Like I have time to take a half day off work and wander around Memorial looking for seats I like. Has the ATO heard about the internet and the virtual view you can get for Memorial? WTF would I want to do it in person? ATO staff said if I couldn't make it that I could let them know my preferences and they could pick for me. I didn't ask if that pick would be made AFTER everybody else picks at the Seat Selection event. There is a solid chance they may lose the 5 season ticket orders that I was going to place.

I did not get a email either. But I did get this online confirmation that the tickets will be at Will Call.

Thank you for requesting your free men's basketball tickets for renewing your football season tickets by Jan. 14.

This is your confirmation. Your basketball tickets will be left at Will Call on game day under the name submitted in the "Name for Will Call" field.

Gameday will call opens two hours prior to tipoff and is located at the Haas Pavilion Ticket Booth on Spieker Plaza, near the intersections of Bancroft Ave and Dana Way.

Questions? Contact your Gold Standard service representative at (800) GO BEARS (462-3277) or GoldStandard@berkeley.edu.

Thank you and Go Bears!

I would think they would pick for you at the appropriate time, based on your priority, similar to the way you can find someone to pick for you. It just does not make sense to have them pick for you after everyone in person has picked.

I don't think there was a confirmation email if you registered. The confirmation was on screen

After you emailed Gold Standard, did they get you tix? I didn't even know we were supposed to register. I thought we were supposed to receive an email with more information.

The email they sent says:
Quote:

To RSVP for this event, please click the RSVP Here button below to be taken to the registration page. Deadline for RSVP is Friday, January 25th @ 12 noon. Once your RSVP has been received, please print out and send in the attached registration form with payment, in the form of credit cards or checks made out to UC Regents.

Gold Standard was able to sort out the whole issue I had with the free basketball tickets. I'm sure if you call them today and speak to a rep, they should be able to add you to the list for the tickets.

Hope it works out for everyone.

I just called the ATO and they took care of me.

One question: I had thought they were offering one ticket for each seat -- I was told just now that it is two tickets for each account (and one bobble head per account). Is that what others have heard?

Thanks

Yeah, that is what I have read all along. Two tickets and one bobble head for account.

I also missed the part about registering for the tickets. I just e-mailed Gold Standard and am getting the tics.

I love my seats but really had no idea what the actual view would be until i got to the first game. They should offer both and assign you a time.I think it it is well worth it to go in person and see what you are going to get.

Yeah, the email and RSVP link said it was two tickets per account.
