From my years of watching him as a QB, Kap never seemed to possess "touch" for a skill. Just a very strong arm and great legs.

The Fade always seems to be a terrible call in the redzone. Never liked it, never will, especially on 4th down, do-or-die situations.....like Cal @ UW two years ago.

With that coverage, a back shoulder fade to the front pylon would have been more successful and more suited to Kaep's skill set, especially given the OBVIOUS HOLDING !!! If Crab wasn't able to gain separation on that route, they would have been more inclined to make the holding call.

If you have been watching him, you may have seen the HUGE change in his throwing ability from Jr to Sr season (touch and accuracy). Still has a ways to go, but he has shown he is very coachable.

Any QB that can put up with Chris Ault's in-your-face shouting for 4 years is coachable.

Back shoulder fades only work on Go and Vertical routes, not Quick Out routes (Crabtree's actual route in the SB).

Poor play selection, poor throw, poor officiating, poor Niners.

meet whining Atlanta fans ....

Face it. Harbaugh shouldn't have called the TO and perhaps the read option on 3rd and goal may have worked ... seriously the niners had they played better in the first half would have won this game.

this team should be a regular contender in the next few years.

The refs were throwing their flags. It would have been delay of game if not for the TO.

The outside backer was only on Kaep immediately, it was a prayer of a throw. Was a bullet on a fade route.

One of the main reason The Uncatch developed had to do with the blocking scheme, with Gore lining up behind Kaepernick (a feature of the pistol). This leaves the QB vulnerable to a blitz through the middle, where Gore wouldn't be able to pick it up right away.

Still, all this attention on The Uncatch and its presumed non-call is a bit misplaced, given that the 9ers were down 28-6 before the power outage reversed momentums. Without that freak event, the Ravens win in a blowout -moot point-.

I was a not upset when I thought that there was going to be 5 yard penalty for delay of game. I thought that Kap would be better from 10 yards than from 5 yards. It would leave more open room behind the DL set at the 10 and open a few gaps that would not be there if the DL were set at the 5.
