A few thoughts on these interviews:
1) Hinder has a certain maturity with the camera in his face. This was my first exposure to him in an interview and I was impressed. I could easily see him representing CAL at press day before the season starts.
2) Kline with all his talents and potential, still strikes me as being young. He seems to be looking for perfection in his answers, struggles a bit with what to say, and probably is doing the same on the field with his play. I wonder if he is also struggling a bit with having to emerge from behind his reputation into the real world of competition.
3) Goff appears to me to be very at ease with himself. Nothing about his body language makes me think he is forcing anything. I think he is a true threat to be named starter, even if it upsets the apple cart. Dykes has to show results soon and doesn't have the luxury in worrying about whether some player will transfer if they don't get the starting job.
4) Loved the Treggs^2 interview. I attended CAL when Treggs Sr. was playing and now realized how old I am, LOL. You can absolutely see the pride and happiness exuding from dad. The comment about how technology has changed since his days with the example that Treggs Jr. runs +8500 yards per practice was a very interesting insight. I think doing a story on the technology side of CAL football would be an interesting read.
