He's sitting next to Bouza's dad. They are friends from when both were 49ers.

Ah, thanks. But I also recall him attending Cal game(s) before. Just for the heck of it(?)

Bouza's dad was a great WR at Cal in late 70's. He had GREAT hands (caught anything thrown in his vicinity) and ran GREAT routes, although, speed was not his strong suit. He was the ultimate third down/possesion type receiver. We used to cheer "BOOUZZA, BOOZZA, BOOUZZA" when he caught passes. I remember one year he caught 50+ passes. He later played a few years in the NFL.

Sonny said in his press availability that Joe came by in December with his son who was considering walking on.

If that is Jen on the right I would say a couple of cheeseburgers, fries, and a shake should be prescribed.

Definitely Jen. In pretty good shape I'd say.
I had the pleasure of meeting Matt one day at work. Super nice guy who loves to talk Golden Bear football. I bet he is stoked about the Bear Raid.

Saw her at Tony's Pizza Napoletana in SF a few months ago with her sons. She's skinny but not that skinny. She looks good for 50 (or whatever she is).

I think that was back at LaTech.

Joe Montana. That was pretty neat!

When's Mr. Rodgers gonna show?

She's rather striking especially given her age, Joe is very unassuming and usually saunters along. Saw them both at AT&T during a Giants game, everyone was checking her out but, nobody noticed the Barry Manilow-looking guy behind her.

Gotta love the internet. Local football legend comes to observe your Alma Mater's football practice under new coach and someone insults his wife. Good grief.

FML. Looks like Cal is not a real Cal fan

I distinctly remember seeing Joe Montana around the student entrance about 2-3 years ago at CMS.

Actually sounds like a few people have boners for the wife.

"Cal practices open to the public, finally."

"Notice Dykes' hat -- he wears a different one at each practice."

I was at Fry's about ten years ago when I notice this hot blonde. I was enjoying the view when up walks Joe Montana. "Hey, that's Joe Montana's wife! Lucky bastard!"

That made it extra cool.

After that game, Joe was flipping burgers at the bearants' tailgate. I didn't actually see ita bearant called me and asked me if I was coming, but we were already on the freeway heading home.

It was also reported that Joe had a long talk with Kevin Riley, but I didn't see difference in his play after that day.

It was probably a talk about how Riley needed to calm down and relax and let the game come to him, at which point Tedford got wind and worked the whole week on trying to make Riley more neurotic

OK so that's pretty cool.

If you have open practices and Joe Montana shows up... not sure where I'm going with that...

He and his wife live in the City and Cal is the nearest college program that he can drop in on. I had once said on this board that Cal should have hired him as the QB coach---despite Tedford's background. And think of all the prep QBs that might have been drawn to Cal because of his reputation.

That is Matt's wife, Linda, sitting next to Joe. The former Linda Franz, tri delt at Cal.

FYI, Calby7, that is Marianne Bouza...Joe attends Cal games and practices in support of the Bouza's ( Jackson). In turn, the Bouza's support Nate and Nickie...I know, because I'm friends with both families...

What about Steve Young?

I loved Matt Bouza, but he was no Steve Rivera.

These young guys would be more hyped if French Montana dropped in on practice.

I think we should have Jerry Rice coach the receivers and LT coach linebackers. Recruits would flock to play for RB coach Emmitt Smith. Tedford!!

The one realistic former NFL guy the Bears missed on was Bryant Young. He went from coaching at SJSU to now DL coach at Florida.

It's still hush, hush but Joe wants to buy half interest in the team.
