Time will tell.
I think the bigger mistake was to recruit 3 DEs this year. With several LBs (at least 3) moving to DE this year, we really didn't need that many players. We probably could have done with 1 less OL as well.

Every saved schollie helps.
To more directly answer your question. It depends who those players are. If they've been in the program for a while and have earned significant playing time, then no it is not a mistake. Lapite and Camporeale makes sense.

Do you realize that we have at least 4 kickers on scholarship right now?
