Thanks for the article. I find sports writing very interesting. Does not matter what town/city it is in, it is always about what the home team did or did not do, versus any recognition of what the opponent did to stifle that. I don't expect objectivity, but you almost wonder if Cal was there (a bit excessive, but...). No talk of the stars who garnered those 39 points for Cal, but a lot of talk if the 'birds had done this or done that. Interesting, but seems quite common in sports writing and television sports reporting (homerism).

Regardless, a fun read, and thanks for the opportunity to read the Vancouver impression.

I remember going to Memorial with my dad in the mid to late fifties to see an exhibition match with the All Blacks. It was my first rugby match, but not the last.

I don't know if we have ever played the Springboks.
