Everybody is doing it. Sonny & Tony have perfected this offense.
Our D should be ready ... will the fuskies be ready?

It is definitely the trend in the Pac-12 (and everywhere). It will be difficult to get the advantage that early adopters like Oregon had, but at least we won't be at a disadvantage.

I hope Sark's implementation of an offense he is unfamiliar with will be like Tedford's.

I think having uptempo gurus running things and our natural advantages will allow us to prevail over others.

Look for a rule change if the power schools demand one.

In a different article, it said that uDuh's offense would still be the pro-set, just run faster ... kinda like an old Cal coach once tried ... but that turned into a prairie-dog, slow-huddle, not no-huddle offense.

And uDuh is very worried about their DL.
But, so what, I'm sure Shaq is prepared to meet Rodgers catching a slant over the middle at full speed.

The only way teams should be allowed to manipulate the play clock is by running it down to 1 second before snapping. That's the way football should be played. Remember, punting is winning.

Just saying that if the Big - 10 and the SEC want a rule change, they will get one. I don't care for the slow game, or three minute tv time outs either,

LOL
The powers that be (money) is the reason there are timouts like that spanning far more than 3 mins.

edit: Quote regarding Price from the link: "He showed up to spring drills healthy and saying his legs felt stronger than a year ago thanks to an off-season conditioning program designed more to emphasize lower-body strength."

This is what I hope our QBs, especially Goff, do between now and fall. I'm saying they weren't already doing it or that they are weak. But I have done core and lower body work-outs and it is amazing how much it improves over-all strength, even for a couch potato like me.

OK, get ready for the " This 15 second required huddle sponsored by Viagra, to get you back in the Game" spots.

yeah, funny ... but could happen if for no other reason than MONEY and t'hell with the game and any coach's scheme or game plan.

But, if it does happen, those commercials probably wouldn't happen to Oregon.
Nike has power and deep pockets and they do know how to tip the scales, legally and otherwise.

Good news for us if it happens - another coach going outside his comfort zone. If Washington is a hodge podge of spread, pro, and no huddle, they'd better get used to the cellar.

I wonder if furd wins pac12 again using their old fashioned offense. Ore st. looked pretty good last year as well.

I'd bet on it being a team with a strong offensive identity. The tide has certainly turned against pro style 1,000 page playbook teams in college. Washington and USC are now the only two in the Pac doing it. USC has the talent to pull it off, but you all saw the inconsistencies last year.

I guess I won't sound too prophetic (betting on one out of ten teams winning it in a twelve team league) but I'm glad that Cal is in the identity boat.

Its not a shot at Tedford - only his later years. I love going back and watching those games from his first few years - identity as a power running, half roll team. Still think he could have saved his job just by going back to that approach.

Stanford won because of their defense, not the old fashioned offense.

I'll buy what Oregon State is selling when they can finish higher than 3rd. They are a pass 1st, run 2nd team. Is that old fashioned?

Nussmeier >> Kiesau

But at least Kiesau is a good recruiter...

Sounds like another 7-5 year to me.

As someone else pointed out, this is starting to smell like Tedford's "grab-bag" offense.
