if these help get even one more top recruit then they are a success. a bit of a shame but high school kids do consider this in their decision making process.

More details from Dykes' KNBR interview: We'll be wearing gold tops and silver/gray pants at home, so the helmets will match the pants.

No bear on the gold stripe with cal script or maybe bear logo on the side. I'm looking forward to the bear on the sleeve.

Edit: JK. We all know Cal has absolutely no objective "tradition" when it comes to helmets. So, I concede that for this post the Blue with the script cal on both sides from the holmoe era are "traditional".
