Including the game's big hero, Michael Dyer.

Let's not overreact. It's only weed, not PEDs. If anything, maybe Auburn should get an extra national title.

I'm utterly shocked that an sec team would cheat to get to and "win" the championship game

"No sir. We smoked it all."
As if the Ducks would not have a bunch of players with THC in their urine. I'm sure there is pot smoking on the Cal team but Oregon is the Harvard of dope smoking schools.

I think what's really interesting is that here we have an e60 segment, with interviews of guys, being released just the day after the other auburn story breaks. This is reminiscent of some other sports "scoops" in which ESPN is ready with a whole lot of content, but is unwilling to go with the story first, and it ends up getting reported by a secondary market (blog) first. There's no way that ESPN was caught flat footed on this Auburn story. My guess is that a lot of people in the industry have known things and it's been slowly sitting on the backburner for just the right time to let it drop.

or who smoked it up to 30 days before the BCS game ? Really just a non issue . ESPN better be careful or they may actually be accused of actual journalism exposing a Cash Cow" SEC team.

Wow, I'm impressed . Imagine how much they would have beaten Oregon if they weren't high and stopping on the way to the endzone to admire the Duck's uniforms

Smoking weed is not an NCAA violation, nor a PED, not even necessarily a team violation, depending on the team. There are plenty of Cal players who have smoked, and plenty of other teams whose players have smoked as well. I don't even think the Bears had a penalty for the first one time caught, other than, don't do it again or you may be penalized.

I guess now that my 75 year old, former Army Colonel dad has a card to deal with his arthritis, I could care less if some college kids tokes up a bit.

They may have even have had a beer...

The bigger issue is, is this piling on to Auburn. I do not think the first story today was credible, based on the folks who were quoted saying that the reporter was lying about what they said. And then these guys come out with this story...

Seems suspicious to me.

Anybody care to do a top "420" ranking? I think Oregon and Auburn would still be battling for the national title.

The point isn't whether marijuana should be legal or if anyone cares that college kids smoke. It's currently illegal and against the rules. The Auburn kids failed the test yet were still allowed to play. Kids who smoke before the draft combines are even bigger dumbasses.

apparently its that synthetic weed that u can pick up at smoke shops. that stuff is actually kind of dangerous. should be illegal.

Wasn't weed it was much worse. It's basically the same as smoking meth + crack at the same time. Nasty stuff.

Folks:

This isn't about weed. This about the synthetic drug, known as SPICE on the street. From what I know, it's not a high like you get from smoking pot, it's more of a speed/whippet kind of high -- you basically fry your brain.

And while the Auburn players tested positive for the Spice, that wasn't a drug violation yet at Auburn.

The stuff is evil. I checked with one of our instructors who's specialty is medical marijuana and her reaction is that she would never smoke that shite. It's been connected to seizures and even death.

The point is the program is academically and morally bankrupt - a Vanderbilt coach once said that about the entire SEC with the exception of Vandy. Same coach later took the job at LSU.

So it is true that Auburn plays better on artificial grass.

This is child's play compared to involvement in gambling rings and links to political corruption (which somehow seems to have been swept under the rug). What a joke of a 'college' program
