My nephew injured his knee playing freshman football in the Valley, they haven't had much luck with diagnosis i.e. not the usual acl or mcl. As a 14-year old he's in hyper-growth mode which probably isn't helping things. If anyone has a recommendation in the Ventura-Valley-LA basin area I would love to hear from you. Thanks.

Would you consider the USC medical center too far? Dr. Hatch is excellent. I would recommend an earlier appt before he begins running late.

Rick Hatch is great but he's not an adolescent specialist and they tend to have unique issues. I posted suggestions on the premium thread. Not a lot of seasoned adolescent sports specialists around

Rick is very good and young enough to relate. Also, the equivalent here to Dr. Dillingham's operation (SOAR) is the Kerlin Jobe Clinic - and Dr. Gambardella is the pro's pro for knees.

is Marc Friedman and his group in the Valley. Marc used to be the team doc for the Jets as well as the Clippers (I think it was the Clips). He has pioneered several important improvements in knee reconstruction and replacement.

FWIW, he played basketball at Princeton w/ Bill Bradley, so he knows athletes.
