The OP was offensive. The follow up posts, idiotic. I don't typically use that word. In this case IMO, it is deserved.

Speak for yourself! I thought mine was damn clever. Alas, it was discarded along with fetid mass of verbiage of the "community".

Slotright- Agreed! While I disagree with slandering verbiage, that's their right as an idiot to say it. I have actually found the other sites to be even worse regarding lack of tolerance. Your two examples are dead-on. It's definitely a microcosm of how our society is evolving- too bad. I I find it amusing that the side who always preaches tolerance is only tolerant when it fits their ideology.
do tell! which is the "side" that preaches tolerance but isn't tolerant? That seems hypocritical!

I find it amusing that whenever it comes time for posts/threads to be deleted or posters to be banned, it's almost always the old "admin" handle that gets dusted off and comes around to warn, ban, etc.

You think that's something? Just wait 'til I break out my "genius" card.

"Tolerance" is an interesting word, isn't it? From what perspective does one tolerate others? Just musing here at the ol' BI ranch.

I remember when some cal players wanted the right to say the "N" word and Tedford said no, called in Harry Edwards who appropriately agreed with him.

Tangential to the direction that this thread is going is the idea that it is sort of our unwritten culture that folks that post here are supposed to be able to write in such a way that we can at least imagine that they either attended Cal, are attending Cal, or could some day attend Cal.
