Muhammad of Notre Dame was able to be a repeat defending Champion in the 100m and 200m yesterday at Buchanan High School in Clovis with almost "Jahvid Best" like times.... Winning in 10.33 and 20.86

He is the 3rd male in meet history to double in those events in back to back years, joining Randall Carroll of LA Cathedral and Covina's Remontay McClain.

In 2007, Jahvid won the State Championship in the 100m in 10.31 in Sacramento and was runner-up to Bryshon Nellum of Long Beach Poly in the 200m in an epic dual, with Best running 20.65 to Nellums 20.47

nice...not as fast as Best but still pretty darn good!! That Best vs Nellums 200m was insane...

Congratulations to Mr. Muhammad. Very impressive.

Actually, he's faster than Best.

Best's 10:31 time was wind aided. Muhammad's best wind aided time is 10:22.

Muhammad's 10:33 is a legal time... and Best's best legal time is 10:36


So, Muhammad is actually faster than Best.


Which is scary.

And for even more perspective, DAT ran a 10.31 this year for Oregon's track team. His best time in high school was just 10.57.
