Am I missing anyone on this list of current scholarship seniors?

Jackson Bouza (originally a walk-on)
Mark Brazinski
Dan Camporeale (originally a walk-on)
Austin Clark (originally a walk-on)
Deandre Coleman
Vincenzo D'Amato
Spencer Hagan (originally a walk-on)
Alex Logan
Bill Tyndall
Harrison Wilfley
Matt Williams

Don't get me wrong, there are several incredible young men on this list who will be great leaders in this society, but from a talent standpoint and an NFL potential standpoint - this list is a stunner! Coleman is clearly the only NFL guy on this list -

Let me reiterate these are all great Cal Bears - especially the walk ons who earned scholarships and who will graduate - None of us in stands can hold the jock of any of these guys, but it does feel like a small class with little to show for the 2009 recruiting year

It is a very small class and only a few will start or see the field.
Five four-stars
<Mark Brazinski, Steve Williams, Allan Bridgford, Dasarte Yarnway, Jarred Price (JC)>
Brian Schwenke was in the class and he and Steve Williams are gone to the NFL.
We'll lose few starters but will have a limited number of scholarships to replace.

The junior class, however, is huge with many in the 2 deep for this year.
2014 will see a very experienced team and 2014 recruiting will be huge.

oh, so when the "Cal has plenty of talent" crowd shouts from the roof top, they mean "plenty of talent as long as you don't count the seniors?"
Yes, the Williams leaving and Schwenke not blue-shirting hurts this class, but also shows that talent is based on year in and year out recruiting successes because there are always guys that aren't going to pan out. Number one example from this list: there were posts here that had this or that person swearing that Matt Williams was going to be an NFL lineman. He might be a fine young man (and was a decent 3rd baseman in back in the day) but he is not an NFL lineman.

Looked at the post-spring 2 deep roster and here's the count, including the -or-s
8 seniors
21 juniors
15 sophomores
9 freshmen (blue-shirts)

The team may be "talent rich" (and there IS a lot of talent) but it's young.
2014 will be more encouraging but this team, against our schedule, will be certainly challenged.
Recruiting and development (athletically AND academically) is crucial.
Too many have fallen by the way-side including and maybe especially the top "star" talent.

the ironic part is how this was supposed to be the strongest class. '10 hs seniors are seniors next season.

I'm not sure it's irony - the best players in that class have left early for the NFL and most of the rest blue/greyshirted. It's disappointing that we lost so many of the other top players in the 10 class to attrition, but it would be inaccurate to ding the 10 class by ignoring the contributions of guys like Keenan, Schwenke, Stevie who have left early or current juniors like Forbes, Fortt (who for all we know may have come here if we didn't have Whiteside), Wilkerson, King, Hinder, Lowe, Wark, McCain etc. The final chapter has not yet been written for the class of 2010, but I think it's fair to say that even with the attrition of talented guys (Martin, Kaelin, Tevin, Whiteside) the 2010 class has had plenty of top contributors to the program.

If anything, this graduating class is an indictment of the 2009 class which we know was the recruiting lowpoint of the Tedford era.

I blame Tosh Loophole.

the silver lining is that most of the starting juniors will be starters another year.

While there are some excellent students in this class (e.g., Forbes), this class also has a fair number of borderline students. Things will improve with successive classes, but this junior class NEEDS TO TURN THINGS AROUND.
