At UC Berkeley, when a chancellor retires, it's usually a year-long sendoff.

Indeed, the original witicsm/hint-of-truism was that Jim Tressel might fire him. I altered it to fit the times.

I haven't followed the whole GG story. Was he actually directly responsible for lots of donations coming in?
