Is anyone allowed to go to these practices? And if so, is nam going to be able to provide information day by day ?

As far as I know, there hasn't been any announcements regarding whether or not fall camp will be open. If they are, I'll probably still go to all of them, although it'll be more of a hassle now that I live in SF instead of Berkeley. If only a few are open, you can expect me to be at those, etc. Whatever's available, I'll be there.

By the way, fall camp won't be happening until early/mid August. So relax, everybody.

Just wondering, with a game on 8/31, I would hope practices would start in early August, not mid-August.

I am pretty sure that they report on the 5th of August - probably physicals and stuff that day and out on the field the 6th.

Thanks, that sounds about right. I think there may be some confusion because last year the field wasn't ready until mid-August. But Cal started practicing the first week of August.

If they r practicing drills right now without coaches, can students attend them?

I really don't think players are publicizing where their private 7v7s are, or things of that nature.

Exactly. They have lifting blocks in the morning on set days, but the rest of the time I think is fluid as to when they meet, what they "practice" and where.

Aw c'mon. The word is not out where this goes on so some of us could monitor? Can't imagine it moves about in secrecy. More likely same place, same time, I would think.

I think it is really more of a "by position" thing. I'm sure that if someone wanted to go watch the QBs and receivers throw - that would be easy enough to do. The rest is probably way too technical (footwork, techniques, reads, etc...) to attract many fans.

May be too technical for the average fan ... but Not for a FAN-ATIC.
I'd be very happy to hear a report on how the OL line is doing, especially in pass protection schemes ... and the center snaps, time between plays, tempo ... all that stuff that is crucial if we going to have an improved team.

As we all would! I wonder if they ever do any full offense work over the summer in the "voluntary" workouts? That would be tough without oversight (Coaches).

The guys are on it and one thing can be said for sure, they won't lose for lack of effort or intensity. Lots of crazy enthusiasm, high intensity by the guys who are itching to ball out.
