What do I need to stream the pac 12 net from the internet to my downstairs tv which is HD? I have a friends Comcast sign on so I can watch PAc 12 on the Net and do have wireless internet in my house.

You can buy a cable and connect a laptop to your TV. That is what I do.

This works for me

Shopped around the internet. I got my for $150.

You will need to get an M-card from Comcast (they will lend you one for free). Once you are connected, you can use Windows Media Center (or XBMC which is free).

I believe SlingBox will also work, but it costs around $300.

If you have an apple laptop or iPhone you can do this with apple TV.

If you have a laptop, a cable will cost $20-$40. I use a Macbook and they make a display port to HDMI cable. Also, on newer MAC laptops you can stream to your TV(airplay mirroring) with a $99 apple TV connected to your television.

If you have an iPad or iPhone, you should just get Apple TV for about $100. Just download the Pac-12 App, and you can stream it through your home's wifi with AirPlay. Very convenient.

Nevermind...misread "I do have wireless" as "I don't have wireless" for some reason. Was going to recommend this if that were the case:

Except that the OP said he has a Comcast sign on. Comcast customers are not supported in the Pac-12 Now app and the Xfinity app doesn't have the Pac-12 Network. It's a frustrating situation for Comcast customers.

Comcast is only allowing Web streaming at http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/specials/Pac-12 and requires a Sliverlight plug-in (which limits the browsers/devices). So I would highly recommend using a laptop and connecting it to your HDTV. Most likely you can use an HDMI cable and an adapter to hook it up. More recent laptops enable both video and sound to go to your TV. That's your best bet.

For recent Macs:
