and the pass rush flushed the QB, but there is absolutely no support to prevent a first down by a scrambling QB. I hate when you rush 3 and still allow the QB 5 yards on a run. Where was the man covering the flat in the zone?

When they take 8 seconds to snap everything, taking 25 seconds seems to be on purpose. If Tedford was coach then I would believe they wanted to play.

Our d line sadly is not getting much (any?) penetration. I think really only 2 plays out of the 20-odd that NW has run. Gotta start sending some LB or it is going to be a LONG evening.

Well after 1 quarter, I'm not surprised, but I'm definitely disappointed. The offense hasn't been smooth (running Khafani 2 times on the one drive was criminal stupidity by the coaches). And the defense clearly isn't as quick as we expected. We aren't getting good QB pressure and once again we are allowing a QB to look like a world champion.

I didn't expect Cal to be dominant right away, but after all the positive press during fall camp I expected a team that looked a lot more polished than we are seeing.

The coverage was good. That was a very well thrown ball and a very nice route.
