This morning I broke an old coffee mug with the jack of clubs emblazoned on it. I got this mug as a freshman at Cal in 1971 (I got it with a coupon they gave to all incoming freshman at the dorms that year), and have used it as a shaving mug over the past 42 years.

I hope this bad luck doesn't cross over to today's game - if it does - please accept my apologies in advance.

If I find out that this damn mug has been dragging us down for years, I will be majorly pissed.
