We are way beyond even the worst plausible scenario of typical player attrition at this point in the season. And it's all on the defensive side.

How does player conditioning prevent head and knee injuries?
Bear_Territory;842193374 said:
This right here. Doubt conditioning had anything to do with Avery's injury. McClure has had a history of getting injured. Scarrlet , Fortt, and Jalil's injury date back to last season. McCain was cut and we've had many players just leave. Our 2010 defensive class has been nothing but an academic and personal problem bust
Some players just can't keep up. We need more agility at the line if we want to try getting some sacks and if we want to protect our QB. We also can't execute fast paced offense if our players can't keep up. beelzebear;842193624 said:
Might be new medical/treatment protocols for injuries, especially head injuries. Cal's Med Director is also the U.S. Olympic Med Director, so I'd guess they're on top of the latest info and techniques.

Other members on BI have hinted a problem with our med staff.

You build a training facility on a sacred Native American burial site and this is what happens every time

im not so sure the injuries have anything to do with the conditioning
injuries that have to do with conditioning are usually more muscle strains and pulls and i dont see a lot of those. i see more injuries from players that seem to get themselves in akward positions which more indicate bad fundamentals. torn knees, achilles, and generally get the concussion more when youre on the receiving ends of hits. the less fundamentally sound your team is, the more likely they can get injured

While this is true of some injuries (e.g., spinal cord injuries), I have never seen evidence (or even anyone else claim such a thing) in the history of football. A torn achilles has nothing to do with fundamentals. Neither does knee injuries. On what ground do you base this (prediction: you made it up to further a narrative).

haha poop. just off the top of my head like kam jackson's injury. the have drills where your taught to avoid cut blocks. not saying what the oregon guy did wasnt dirty, but when a guy goes low have to do a better job of avoiding it. jalen jefferson was also out of position on the goal line and had to come back and make a hit on the side. went the wrong direction, wrong read and had to recover and make the hit. kind of put himself in a bit of an akward position. i didnt see with willis. sonny also had a quote from his presser today saying that he didnt think the injuries were related to conditioning.
