I emailed coach Tedford once, actually several times. I received a reply once, it was unsigned and, what was said will be left unsaid. To this day I like to think it was him telling his assistant what to say. Happened way back during the Ayoob debacle...

He might be asking for Dykes' email address for some reason other than "telling him how to coach the team", you know.......

He may not respond via email but oh he's listening alright. Where do you think he got that idea to throw a halfback lob to Kline in the rain against Oregon? Hey, at least I tried. It looked good on paper.

I demurrer, Sir. Some have suggested that because this season is a toss away anyway that Zach Kline should start the next few games. I counter with my suggestion that Sonny should designate one game this season where he lets posters on BI provide all of the plays and field strategy.* Here is my play submission:

Dear Coach Dykes,

I have little experience at play calling, but I think this one might work.

It might be useful towards the end of a game, when things look desperate, especially against one of our arch-rivals, like Stanfurd.

Dear Coach Dykes,

Here are some things you might want to consider:

Fire the DC now! We knew he had no chance when he said, early on, that he was going with the 4-3 because it was "what he knew". Injuries, shminjuries, that was it right there. Possibilities for the next guy: Vic Fangio (proven success in college and pro), Ron Rivera (that Cal connection!), Clancy Pendergast (probably available since he didn't get the $C interim job), Vince Lombardi.

Why the hell is the OL retreating when we're supposed to be moving forward?!? Get a new coach! How about Coach M?

Look, Goff is either the First Pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, or he's a skinny, tiny-handed, teenager who lofts up dying quails in crunch time. Either way, he won't be our quarterback for THAT much longer, so you should go with Kline, as everybody here has been saying since he first verballed, almost three years ago.

Demote Bigelow to 9th string, as we've all pleaded on this board for over a year now. Might as well get a new RB Coach, too. How about that HC up in Davis?

The Strength and Conditioning Coach, who was awesome just two months ago, really sucks! Look around the area for successful programs (Hello... De La Salle!) and hire somebody with experience from there.

When you're firing up the team before the game, it doesn't matter what you may have said all week, or even all year. What matters is what you say for the fifty-three seconds when the Fox Sports 1 camera happens to be rolling! Take a tip from one of your predecessors and slam a clipboard or something!

Coach, we have other great ideas, but Rome wasn't built in a day, you know. Start with the above and we'll be back with more.
