I would hope so, considering there were 40,000 at Arizona game. But student section seems to be a big question mark at this point.

Is it designated as a Joe Roth Memorial Game? That'd be too bad, as this promises to be the lowest attendance in recent history for a Cal/U$C game. Not only are we a just tad on the weak side, the Trojans have lost their luster, as well, but their just good enough to steamroll us.

Several thousand of us will attend, but nobody's too excited. Those that do not already have tickets, well, I'm guessing there won't be much of a wait at the ticket windows.

40,000? yeah, right. Bet no more than 15,000 at KO. Place looked depleted.

It was a late arriving crowd, but there were definitely close to 40k in attendance I thought. I was surprised how "full" it was.

USC might not be challenging for national titles, but I think the allure of the weekender is still there. Its the last home game and they'll show up in force. I'm guessing we'll be north of 50k in the stadium... sometime in the 2nd quarter.

40K sold tickets... looked more like 31K about half the stadium filled. It was pretty empty with the student section the worst. Whoever cancelled the card show was smart.

Students will show for USC. Fans/Alumni will show for USC. USC will show for USC. If we had 40k announced for Arizona, I can't imagine anything less than 53-55k announced and roughly 45k actually in the stadium.

Agree that people and students will show for SC. It's a much more meaningful game. People would choose the Zona game to miss even if we were good.

Whether or not they'll stay after the half if we're down big is another story...

It's usc, it will be damn near full. Cal fan's divided mutual hatred for each other is nothing compared to our joint hatred for usc, which we can all agree on, even the furd trolls polluting this forum are on that bus. Should be near capacity.

Yeah I should have put my sarcasm icon up... I had no clue on the paid or actual attendance. Good to know we at least got some money out of 10K people that didn't come.

SC will take over our stadium. It won't be like tOSU but they will have fans in places usually reserved for Cal fans :headbang

It'll be interesting to see the student turnout. Maybe you can give a tutorial on campus on how to beat the breathalyzer?

1. Don't get caught
2. Hollow binoculars, flasks stuffed into underwear and a lady friend's bra, visit to the stadium before hand to duct tape flasks under the seats you will be in...yawn, I could go on but I'm busy trolling Allbuffs right now. You should head over there. Fun stuff.

Like the Ohio State game, their will be more red in Memorial than blue and gold.:headbang

It'll be like the Big Game but much sparser. I predict an almost even distribution between SC and Cal fans at 50-50.

Actual attendance, should be at least 40k. It's still SC.

USC crowd will be substatial as ever. Our Alums will make sort of a showing but would not be surprised that USC students way out number ours.

Agreed. This drives me nuts. The last time SC was at Memorial was 4 years ago (the last "home" game was in SF at AT&T) and that seemed like an SC home game despite it being in Berkeley - Cal had released a bunch of unsold seats to SC, meaning the place was filled with SC fans, and their band was playing whenever we had the ball, right up to the snap. It's pretty pathetic when you let the opposing team's band do that in your stadium, and not cool that they did it.

Actual butts in seats were about 30,000. Lots of no shows.

I sort of like having three rows in QQ all to myself. Maybe I can get myself one last tan before I turn pale white for the winter

I think the stadium is going to look like it was a neutral site game. Thank gawd $C isn't having a good year by their standards.

And this is what you'll get if you move the students and open up the east side 50 for sale.

About 38k Cal fans and 15k-17k for SC, with lots of red in chairbacks courtesy of stubhub.

Since the stadium remodel, the stadium will look fairly full with anything over 40k.

It's USC, so 55,000. The Cal alums will show up.

Getting contraband into the stadium, we'd send an advance team right after the gates were open. Only one or two gates were open and security wasn't in place, so there were blind spots. Throw 1 gallon plastic jugs of beer over the fence, occasionally one would get impaled on a fence post. Sit in the empty student section for a couple of hours, study, soak up rays, drink beer.

BTW, according to the top of the page, we're playing Arizona again this Saturday. I guess things are really bad when even the admins have abandoned the site. :headbang

If the cops are there with their breathalyzers, I give the students a pass for not showing up. Even as one who did not often drink anything before games, I always thought the cops were not there to improve the game experience. Same for the ROTC guys who tried to keep us off the field after the Play.
