No real surprise, he's been done as a productive player for the past few years. Asomugha has always been fairly overrated. Very intelligent guy off the field, but has low football IQ. Early on, he was able to get away with mental mistakes due to his incredible physical ability.

Good guy, but one of the more overrated football players in the past decade.

Overrated?? No way. The guy was the most dominant cornerback in the NFL during his peak years with the Raiders playing man-to-man coverage.

He just got old. Lost speed. Happens to everyone.

One of the best corners of all time. A stat that is most telling for a CB is how many times they were targeted or thrown against. At the top of his game, no one was near him. In 2009 he was challenged only 27 times, with 13 completions against him. Found that on wiki, so I hope that is correct...

I cant wait until a Mutt actually makes it in the NFL so that we can make fun of him for being overrated.
