I can deal with furd being really really really good and us being really really really bad.

Furd beat Oregon 2 years in a row to hand them their first loss of the season. Shaw is just a friggin good coach and they have a great Athletic Dept support while Cal looks like Spanky and the Gang....

The gap is going to narrow. Shaw punked the Ucks with Hairball's 4th&5th year seniors, let's see how they rebuild next year. Furd might well be on a downwards sloping plateau. Part of the reason they've looked so great tonight is that they match up really well against Oregon, if you've seen them against UW or Utah you'd know that there already are a lot of chinks in their armor. If Dykes is a half decent coach we'll definitely be competitive within a year or two.

For those of you pissed at Furd winning, remember the halftime interview of Helfrich when they were already up 77 points (or so it seemed) where he said something to the effect that his team was slacking off... Screw them.

I was one of those. In my defense, I never ever imagined Stanford would become like this.
