Im interested to see just which players will return and which ones will decide to transfer even it means sitting out a year or transfering to a lower division school.

Which assistant coaches get thrown on the sword for this debacle? And who on earth can Sonny get to replace them?

I think it's a legit question. Right now I would counsel players to leave it they had a redshirt year!!! Even if they did not have that year and they had thoughts of heading to the league I would still tell them to leave. This program right now is a joke. Get out if you can!!!

Would not be surprised to see some leave. Can't blame them either. One of the bearants post on the other site and from their comments, they seem to have had enough. Feel terrible for the players to have to put up with this.

I can't speak for a large number but I do know several are quite displeased with the way the staff is running the team and treating a certain group of players. Yes several players had to get "cleaned out" to change the culture...but it's also affecting some good players too
who weren't necessarily a "cancer" to the team
culture. We shouldn't be surprised to lose some good
ones.

So which players are "cancers" to the team? Those who express themselves openly and disagree with the coaches as a truly disastrous season grinds to a stop? Cal is not a marine boot camp. We encourage our students to think outside the box and question bad authority. I
am very concerned that many, if not most, of our
players are unhappy and choosing not to play hard or
at all, and that they are unable to express their
feelings out of fear of being kicked off the team and
losing their prized scholarships. It sounds like the
team culture is bad and needs some professional
mediation to clear the air.

If some here are correct that this offense will not fly at this level, or that if it might and it could take a couple more seasons or longer, if I'm on this Cal team, was a hot prospect with NFL potential and desire, the thought of going elsewhere is to be expected.
Sure the degree is important. And a Cal one is quite valuable. But, there's something to be said for giving one's all to realize a dream. Even if doesn't materialize, just knowing that you did all you could to put yourself into a better position or opportunity to play, or play in a system that will better groom and highlight skills sought at the next level, is worth something too when looking back at one's life... Even if the TFS is winning some games, how prepared will our O lineman be for the NFL, QB and receivers too?
And some of these kids might be able to step into some pretty good academic schools too. American Studies at Cal, or something comparable at Duke. They are playing some good ball these days. There are less prestigious schools out there of course, but still quite reputable, and a degree from these would serve them well too.

Side? Always on Cal's side of course.
I understand and appreciate the dilemma student-athletes might find themselves though.

My own two cents but I think Kline probably leaves. Can't blame him. I also think Bigelow takes a long look. Perhaps not transferring but entering the draft. He may be a 3-4th round pick but I can't see him staying.

You can do that without publishing an essay on why our best talent should transfer.

There is huge pressure for this staff now. Adjustments will likely happen somehow.
