You guys should check out the replay. Enwere looks to be a physical specimen, but Luke really impressed me. Luke's quarters were the 2nd and 4th quarters. He's undersized but well put together, especially in his lower body. He wowed me with his athleticism. He's a sudden, quick athlete who can make cuts in traffic. A guy like Maynard had good straightline speed once he got going but wasn't explosive enough as an athlete to avoid pressure consistently. Luke's ability to escape and make the first guy miss is going to be invaluable on third downs.
Luke also seems to have a very confident, composed demeanor and a fiery, competitive side to him as well. On two occasions, he gets hit a bit late out of bounds and he gets in the face of the defender and jaws at him. He seems to be the kind of guy that doesn't take sh!t from anyone. Who knows if he'll be able to beat out Goff for QB, but in a steel cage death match, my money would be on Rubenzer.
Luke is going to be fun to watch in college. Hope he sticks.

"Scottsdale Saguaro senior All-Arizona quarterback Luke Rubenzer, the state-record holder for career and season touchdown passes, put the finishing touch on the high stage Sunday night with more than 100 passing yards and two TD passes and more than 100 rushing yards in just a half of work in the West's 41-7 rout of the East at the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl on Sunday night inside the Dallas Cowboys' "
Maybe Kline watched videos or read about Luke's capabilities and saw that he'd have a tough time getting the backup QB job. Goff will be challenged by Luke.

As good as Luke appears, I am not all that wishful to have another season lead by a true freshman. Hopefully Luke can learn quickly and play some snaps for added dimension.

Luke has broke records all year long and he is still only a 3 star recruit! Unbelievable.

Good! The last QB we had with a serious chip on his shoulder for being overlooked did ok.
MoragaBear;842251808 said:
Yeah, you watch him play and Manziel is exactly what comes to mind.
To keep him at three stars because you think his height limits his ceiling is ridiculous, IMO. You're not rating his skill by doing that but rather putting an artificial limitation on what he could potentially accomplish at the next level.

Joe Ayoob?

Certainly shows the "analytic skills" of those who do the rating ... :p
So, would he go to four stars if he was an inch taller? :p
His passes on the run are impressive, as well as his running.
This class is looking very impressive.

A star for every additional inch!
