Charlie...is this your pops?

Marshawn is classic!

If Russell Wilson was a more accurate passer they would be all but unstoppable. His inconsistency / lack of elite healthy receiving corp is what keeps them beatable right now

Not knocking RW by the way...his mobility is a huge asset. Just sayin if he had elite accuracy too...

Just as long as he gets his Mojo back v the Santa Clara Niners (=if they win, today). By the "law of averages," he is due.

Love that Gif of Carroll. He's a good "guy," and his players' love him; and, yes, he can coach.

gotta love marshawn. another TD to seal it. no crotch grab this time though.

I know a ton of niners fans, and it's great when they are happy... but I sometimes just have to root for Marshawn (or Rodgers)....

Definitely, Lynch: a local kid, who simply chose to go "down the block" for college. Makes good; doesn't forget. Always comes back for a shout out.

When he wore his Cal gear for that "first" presser, the other day, well, that said it all.

Basically this. I'd still say the Seahawks look like the best team right now, but not by such a large margin that they can't be knocked out. Their passing game is really the issue. If teams can prevent Wilson's running and force him to pass from the pocket, he becomes ordinary (granted that is easier said than done and takes a very good defense to do it), and his receivers are average at best (Percy Harvin was supposed to fix this issue, but as we've seen he can't last 3 plays without getting hurt again).

Kaepernick and the Niners had a similar problem for much of the year, though they have looked better now that the receivers are healthy.

Both Wilson and Brees had bad days passing yesterday. The rain and wind were pretty fierce, rain coming in sideways, 30 mph wind. Brees wore a glove on his passing hand and had major issues in the first half, I think he had 30 yards passing. He got better in the 2nd half but not a good day overall.

Of course if Brees wears a glove in Seattle during rain and they did wet ball drills during the week (with gloves), you'd think that would make sense to Tony Franklin and Sonny Dykes.

Getting out of Buffalo was such a key move for him. He's one win away from a Superbowl appearance.

Rodgers was pushing for Green Bay to trade for him. Could have made GB a sure Super Bowl team and as good as our 2004 team.

Russell Wilson inconsistent?? The Seahawks had the best record in the NFC, and Wilson showed more consistency and ability than Kaepernick all season long.

He has in a bit inconsistent the last few weeks, but is a far more conservative passer than Kap in my biased opinion. INTs will kill Niners I think and hope. We shall see Sunday!

Kap has been outperforming him the last few weeks, you have to admit.

And though people have been bemoaning his counting numbers and completion percentage, Kaepernick actually rates quite well in the newer efficiency ratings (that take into account both passing and running), like QBR and DVOA (7th in the league in each). Wilson is 8th and 13th, respectively.

Also, Wilson had more INTs (9) this season than Kap (8), and in fewer attempts, so I'm not sure it's true that Kap is more likely to throw picks.

Well, with the home field advantage earned weeks ago, I believe Kap will be more likely to throw picks on Sunday.

Fair is fair on this one -- you nailed it. Though it looked like it wasn't going to happen for a long while.

It was about as close as you can get between Kap being goat or hero -- one tipped pass decided it.

And that's why analysis is so bad. It's narrative is predicated on team outcomes, not overall individual performance

Imagine how dominant Seattle would be if they had Rodgers as QB!

Marshawn for SB48 MVP.
