Refs sure made up for it

Yeah, I guess you aren't allowed to sack the quarterback anymore. The refs were awful and inconsistent in this game, but the outcome is probably the same either way. The Niners dominated the second half and deserved to win.

Seriously, though, I don't know if my spleen can take another Niners-Hawks game.

It seemed like it! Not sure why Jason Garrett or Monte Kiffin still have jobs. Then again, the team isn't going to change as long as Jerry is the GM.

Pretty much. My sister's boyfriend is a Cowboys fan (he's from Dallas, now lives in the Bay Area) and says the same -- that people want to talk about Tony Romo or Jason Garrett or whoever, but the real problem is that Jerry Jones is a control freak who doesn't realize his football knowledge is outdated.

Yeah - I mean. I still have family in El Paso and their take is pretty much the same. Jerry thinks he is the most qualified to pick and choose who gets drafted, who plays and who coaches. The Cowboys are .500 since 2003, I think.

The other piece is, of course, Tony. Jerry's belief in this guy is unwavering. But Aikman retired at the age Romo is now - not because of concussions, but because of his back. Romo has had 2 back surgeries already. Unfortunately, given all the money Jerry gave Tony, were stuck with him for 2 years at least.

Rivera or their OC too ballsy running up the middle at the goal line both times. Like they wanted to break Niner D confidence. Not smart. Two goal lines and argubly 3 points. That was game.

I don't know, the time the Niners held on 4th down their offense didn't go anywhere and the Panthers got great field position on the next drive . . . and scored a TD. That's part of the reason you go for it on the goal-line, because you've backed the other team up for their next drive and have a chance at good field position for your next one. One affects the other.

They did try to roll Cam out on the next goal-line series, but the Niners swallowed it up. Credit to the defense there.

So much fun no longer having an NFL team for which I'm a fan. Going all Cal was the best decision I ever made. Rooting for our Cal guys in the NFL, following so many teams, is a hoot...

Given that the Niners no longer have any Cal players, are led by a former Stanford HC, a QB who torched Cal, a no-brainer. Lordy, and they are red too!

I'm with you Cal 89. The only complcated part is rooting for Jacksonville and Bear on Bear situations: C. Jordan tackling Lynch, DelaPuente blocking Mebane etc.
Meanwhile Go Seahawks and Pats.

Me three. Let's go Brandon and Marshawn!

I didn't think Carolina would get by the 9ers, their lack of experience really showed but to be fair the 9ers win this 6 or 7 times out of 10.
