Well they're likely promoting from within so them??? Technically.

Common sense would dictate that we should be first since it has been obvious for so long that we would need to replace the DC. Of course, I have absolutely zero expectations from our current staff and administrators. I almost expect this to be done in the worst possible fashion (it doesn't have to be their fault...failure just seems to have attached itself to this staff and they just can't seem to shake it). Really liberating not to expect anything.

Real question: who hires the better DC?

did OP mean: who will announce their next DC first? how do you know when we decided on our DC? we also have other coaches being hired, one may be contingent on the other. also Stanfurd doesn't have a bureaucratic Board of Regents they answer to every time they draw up a contract.
