It was close enough. The NFL has made quarterbacks and "defenseless" receivers points of emphasis for extra protection for years. If you go up high on either, expect a flag. That guy was the definition of a defenseless receiver at the point Witner hit him. Plus Witner has a rep that he himself foolishly perpetuates. They're gonna flag that 100% of the time.

I agree. The NFL is attempting to legislate contact out of a sport which is predicated upon it. That last call was a 'face-saving' call. There was no penalty, but rather than put the flag back in their pocket, they call it a post possession foul. Total crap.

The NFL has been terribly officiated this season.

I don't blame Wilson, he's running for his life from the snap and they can't run. Niner front 7 is dominating, and coverage has been solid. Gutsy call by hairball going for the td on 4th down. Could be the difference in a game this close.

Whitner grazed the receiver's shoulder. Aikman also said it was a bad call.

Lol and what Aikman says MUST me true right? Any contact or aiming to the head is going to get called. What we're seeing is nothing we haven't seen the whole season.
