Damn, just saw the replay of Sherman. I'll bet the nfl is rethinking the option of allowing players not to talk to the media.

LOL, you could see Erin Andrews get this "Oh crap, what did I just start?" look on her face.

Hahaha. Sherman comes off like a rabid dog but I have to say... I like his intensity. Lol! I mean I can see why it would turn people off but it reminded me of Omar Little. If only he used the proper quote: "You come at the king, you best not miss."

Fresh, there was nothing wrong with his message in the sense that he has every right to rub it into his haters face. But to do it on national tv post game interview? Yeah that was pretty classless.

Count me as a minority but I thought Sherman's rant entertaining. That was a scary game and he was a scary m$therfucker. Good theater.
Plus it gives the whole country something to talk about today. I can't wait until Oprah, Rush and Obama weigh in.

He came across as less coherent than most people high on amphetamines that I've encountered.

Well yeah, guys who act like idiots in public generally are entertaining . . . but it doesn't mean I have to like them.

Richard Sherman, in his own words, after the game (written for MMQB):

Quote:
One thing I can't accept is what I read after the game about Seahawks fans throwing food at 49ers linebacker Navorro Bowman as he was being carted off the field with his knee injury. If it's true, it's beyond terrible. That's as low as it gets. I'm sure whoever did this is in a small minority of fans, because I don't think that kind of action is an accurate representation of the character of the 12th man. Navorro Bowman is a great player who plays the game the right way. When he went down, I dropped to a knee and prayed for him. He deserves better than having food thrown at him as he's carted off a field. All players deserve better than that.

That's another big problem with the Seahawks: they're in Seattle. Hard to stomach the thought that so many of those fans are also Husky fans. I just tell myself they're mostly Cougs to get through it. That and the fact that a bunch of mutts worship a Cal great is awesome.

My general rule of thumb is that once my team is out of the running I will root for the fan base that has gone the longest without seeing a title. Seattle would basically fit that bill, as they haven't seen a championship in any major sport since the Sonics in 1979 (and then later had that franchise cruelly ripped away from them). But man, the Seahawks fans are annoying, and guys like Richard Sherman and Pete Carroll are making it tough to root for that team. I guess if they do win I'll console myself with the fact that Seattle probably was due to finally win something.
That said, go Broncos.

Thanks for summing that up for me. I was all prepared to root for the Seahwawks should they win but the Sherman antics left such a bad taste in my mouth that I cannot.
