I'm starting to wrap my mind around the concept of "be careful what you wish for" after this whole Dykes debacle. At the same time, our D literally could not be any worse than it was last year, right? Right?!?

House money is after we qualify for the Rose Bowl, we have a chance to be in the Final 4 game.

Although i know that's a joke. I would be happy with Ambrose. Players love him. Cameron Walker tweeted the other day he wished Ambrose came back.

The only defensive statistic that matters to me is the "WTF??".

Going through the tapes of last season's games, my assessment is that the Cal defense averaged about 11 - 15 WTFs per game.

The Ohio State game had four WTFs in the first 5 minutes alone.

A good goal for the new DC next season would be to get the number of WTFs back down to less than five per game. That would be significant progress based on what I saw this past year.
