This doesn't change the reported facts of how he left CAL a few years ago! CAL does not need him!

Tosh has issues at Cal that I don't think can be resolved for a long time, if ever.

Players new and old want him back.
Fans and donors (read: rich fans) don't.
He may be a dirtbag but college football ain't a clean business. Every school cuts corners, does underhanded things. I don't condone his behavior but it is crazy to assume he did everything without others knowledge at Cal.
Recognize that To$h can be shady, give him a short leash, and bring him back. God knows how many years this last 12 months have already set back our program.
also, what's more shameful: us taking To$h back? or Louisville taking back Petrino?

Hill, Fujita, Jordan, BTreggs, Barton, list goes on.

Yeah - To$hgate probably matters to only a fairly small group but it matters TREMENDOUSLY to them - as they follow recruiting and understand the depth of the slimeball actions he took.

I'd love to see him speak up openly about the allegations of his behavior before leaving Cal.
My guess: a lifetime of crickets on that front.

Where can one find the Treggs quote?

The group that actually matters is probably smaller than you think. Tosh burned bridges with the internet forum crowd, the athletic department, the administration, and most importantly, Cal boosters. Let's be real, those of us obsessing over recruiting on BI don't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Birgineau is already gone and who knows how long Barbour's tenure will last.
But that last group has tremendous influence, resources, and the football decision making dexterity of Al Davis in his final years.
fixed it.

Have any wealthy donors actually opined? I doubt there's more than a 100 people total that give a **** who Tosh is or what he does, including if he was hired back at Cal.

The NCAA interviewed Mike Davis, the accuser, at length, but he obviously was not able to come up with hard evidence that Tosh gave money to the athlete. That's the thing about cash; it's hard to document. The case may be closed for now, but where there's smoke, there's fire.
Something clearly very corrupt happened at the 2012 Army AA game, one week before Tosh left for UW. Neither Payton nor McCarthy were ever going to Cal, but Tosh did something to make them say so on national TV - who knows how? Then the manner in which he left - telling Shaq Thompson not to go to Cal on an official home visit, and then telling Tedford he was leaving via a text message - showed a tremendous lack of character. He will never be re-hired by Cal.
If he coaches again in the Pac 10, I think it will be at WSU or maybe Colorado. The top programs can get better people without Tosh's baggage.
If for some reason Sark wants to hire him, I would bet that Pat Haden will veto it. Why take a chance, when the program is trying to get out from underneath their probation?
