Local report: Memorial service for Agu set for Friday

The memorial service for former Frontier football player Ted Agu will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Bakersfield.

Agu, who was a senior football player at Cal, died the morning Feb. 7 after a team training run in Berkeley. He was 21. Cal held a memorial service for Agu on Wednesday.

Burial services are at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery.

I understand the team is chartering buses and attending the service. Going to be a somber long ride for our boys. A heartfelt way to say good bye to Ted and to show support to his family.
