What technique would you use if your assistance was requested for sand removal ?

Can't ask for a better illustration of maturity than attempting a trick while leading at the finish. Way to go. Not even a good cross.

Don't these guys have any coaching?

How about fumbling the ball at the one, several times?

Actually that's what a lot of skiers and snowboarders are taught to do. It helps square up the landing.

Who told you this?

Genuinely curious. My Best Man coaches at a elite national level (Technically FIS, but does not leave the US), and I once coached, and we both raced for decades and know several Olympians as friends, and this is the fist I have heard of such a thing...

Can you elaborate?

I heard it during the practice runs of both snowboard cross and ski cross. I have no personal knowledge of the subject so I apologize if what I said is wrong. I think it was two different people who said it but it could have been the same guy.

I don't think any of these guys were remotely close to hotdogging, they were all focused on medaling in a tight-grouped finish. They fell because it was a very challenging jump, it looked like 50m+ in length and 10-15m in height, with a landing on wet slosh.
