Sound awfully familiar with the back QB competition extending into the fall and then being open to luke and Forrest. We need a fresh To redshirt for the future. I feel that him saying that freshman QBs arnt out of the question for playing means tht we have no capable back up. Hinder I don't think much of. Not a good passer and indesisive as a runner. Boeme is decent runner but passing is just not there. It would be ashame if we burned another shirt but might happen.
Not bashing, but just not liking dykes comments on many thoughts. I hope he can turn the team around this season, I really do. But would be lying if I didn't say if be happy when he's gone.

That is why they are holding of on choosing one. They want see the incoming QBs practice first. It's frustrating to know out talent level and the fact that Skye's burns through freshman without considering the future

I don't think Sonny is saying anything we don't already know. If Boehm/Hinder were going to be anything outside of bit parts they would have shown themselves by now. If Goff goes down for an extended period, I don't see any harm in letting Rubenzer/Forrest have a shot provided they have proven themselves capable in practice.

This, plus, no way a coach wants to announce he's going to redshirt a player before it's necessary to do so. Keep your options open and that fire is more likely to stay lit under ALL the QBs, through August.

Incoming freshmen, notably QB (2) and RB (2-3), will have a chance to compete, not automatically 'shirted.
JCs are expected to really compete for starting roles.

(not) Startling news ... it will be nice if we can finally 'shirt most of the players and not have them forced onto the field due to injuries.
